In the cases that breasts, in addition to a little volume, would need to be raised by eliminating the excess of flaccid skin, mammary implants are used. Generally, minimum scaring is left by eliminating the skin around the areola. For more severe cases, the scar will have to be extended down on a straight line and/or into the inferior line of breast.
In the cases when the breast has an appropriate volume, then it will be managed with the patient’s own tissues to give form and appropriate volume always trying to leave a minimum scaring.
This surgery can be carried out with local anesthesia or epidural block and sedation. The patient will need half-a-day of hospitalization.
