This is a surgery whose objective is not only aesthetic, but also functional, since when weight and breast volume are reduced, it will be possible to correct back and shoulders pain, as well as the face-forward posture of the patients and problems related with voluminous breasts. This surgery raises the patient’s self-esteem, when achieving that they now can wear adjusted clothes, showing off breasts of a smaller size.
The resulting scars in this procedure are similar to that of the breast rising, and whose sizes will depend of the size of the breasts that will be treated, always trying to leave the minimum scaring.
The surgery is carried out with epidural block and sedation, or general anesthesia. A day of hospitalization will be needed.
